Big, beautiful, fluffy cat needs a special home. Athena's foster Mom thinks she is a frustrated Mechanical Engineer in a cat's body. She likes to explore and figure things out. Athena's accomplishments: wiggling her way into dresser drawers, jumping up and turning on light switches, and opening storage boxes with latches. Athena loves to run and jump but her feline companions think she plays a little rough. Her fur-siblings are willing to forgive her rough play since the humans didn't have another cat to help her develop an understanding of feline rules. Her foster mom suggests Athena be the only pet. Athena likes routine. Every morning she has her moist food in her breakfast nook, which looks much like a cat carrier. She loves her afternoon nap and to be tucked into bed at night. Athena was surrendered by her owners so she is slow to warm up. The ideal home for Athena would be DOG FREE and CHILD FREE with a sturdy cat tree from which she can observe the universe along with a few good hiding spots to get away from everything when needed. She is a long hair dilute calico, spayed, front-paw declawed, microchipped and utd on vaccines. I am in the Humane Society of Midland County foster program.
