Abbey is a sweet and loving American Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated at 3-4 years old. She was originally transferred to the HSoMC from the Genesee Animal Control after being attacked by another dog there. Abbey went into foster care for healing and has since been battling abnormal growths on her eyes. She received surgery to remove them in December xxxx and is now ready for a forever home. Abbey does well with other dogs once she learns to trust them, but needs a calm and proper introduction. Abbey cannot be in a home with cats or other small pets. She is good with children, but can get very excited with meeting new people and may jump to greet her new friends. Abbey loves everyone she meets and quickly bonds with her people. She loves to snuggle and will wait until given the command to eat at mealtime. She is house-trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. Abbey already comes spayed, micro-chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations and with her health history since being in foster care. For questions or to meet Abbey in person, please email [email removed]. They have tested negative for heartworm or have been treated. They are all fostered and cared for in our volunteers homes, We have no shelter or office at this time. At this time, we do not adopt outside the state of Michigan.Unaltered pups are $150 and you must prepay for spay or neuter surgery with your veterinarian before we finalize the adoption.
